Code of Conduct

Simple Social only works if people treat each other decently. By creating an account or using any Simple Social app or the API, you agree to follow these rules.

How you are expected to act

  • Be respectful, even when you disagree.
  • Post things you have the right to share.
  • Be yourself. Use your own account and don't pretend to be someone else.
  • Respect other people's privacy.
  • Use the apps and the API the way they are meant to be used.

What can get you removed

Any of the following can get your posts or comments removed, your account suspended, or your account permanently deleted:

  • Harassment, bullying, threats, or encouraging violence against anyone
  • Hate speech or attacks on people based on who they are
  • Sexual content of any kind
  • Posting someone's private information, such as their address or phone number
  • Impersonating another person
  • Spam, scams, or misleading links
  • Advertising something for sale, or asking people to donate
  • Illegal content, or content that infringes someone else's copyright
  • Trying to break into accounts, get around security, or disrupt the service
  • Automated abuse of the API, such as mass account creation, mass following, or scraping other users' data

Enforcement

Moderation decisions are made at the site owner's discretion. Serious violations can lead to immediate, permanent removal without warning.
